Red Zebra Community Solutions prides itself on inventive projects that support the communities we work with by reducing social isolation, bringing generations together, and utilsing targeted support to reach those in need.
Here is a selection of just some of the work we have been involved in over the years. We’d like to thank those who have worked alongside us in partnership as well as participants, recipients and funders who enabled us to reach out.

Working in partnership with MArch at Kent School of Architecture & Planning, University of Kent to support MA students with a live brief
The Dinner Project
August 2020- September 2023
We worked in partnership with The Plough Pub in Swalecliffe, delivering a free cooked lunch to people we identified in need of a hot dinner.

Faces of Friendship

A collaborative project between Red Zebra, The Horsebridge Arts Centre and The Whitstable School.

Befriending in CT5
April 2020-2022
At the beginning of lockdown we established a telephone befriending service funded by Canterbury City Council. A team of volunteers provided a weekly phone call to the most isolated members of our service to provide support and companionship, helping ease the difficulty of lockdown
Whitstable Cares
April 2020 - 2022
Bringing together over 20 local organisations, Whitstable Cares was a single place people who needed help could contact during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Roma in the Lead/ Intergrated Communities
2017-2020
Roma in the Lead aimed to provide improved opportunities for community integration, accessing services and cohesion for five Roma communities in Kent.
The Integrated Communities project was set up in April 2019 with the aim of tackling some of the key issues affecting Roma families with young children in Folkestone, Dover and Margate.
Big Lottery: Ageless Thanet
Red Zebra was the Communications Lead for the Ageless Thanet project, one of fourteen projects nationally, funded through the Big Lottery Fund’s ‘Fulfilling Lives: Ageing Better’ programme.
The Volunteer Beaura
A 2 year contract with Canterbury City Council to deliver a volunteer brokerage service; to support local businesses/organisations to recruit more volunteers whilst matching local community residents to potential volunteering roles.
Community Navigators
In partnership with Social Enterprise Kent, Red Zebra supported 3 Community Navigators who covered the Ashford area, supporting people over 55 years old looking for information and support with a practical approach to benefits, social care, form filling and information
